1. Toilet Block

This year for better facilities of Water supply, Sanitation & hygiene we submitted a proposal of toilet blocks in various organizations under us. ONGC approved our proposal and provided funds for construction of toiletblocks from their CSR funds. There were various objectives behind construction toilet in every institution. Those are:

• To provide safe drinking water from deep bore well or secured sanitized dug well which is free from any hazardous content to health of users.
• To extract energy by using solar system or electricity or natural oil when other facilities are not available.
• To use modern toilet system and latest technology and facilities for maintenance of health and hygiene and reusing the waste by proper processing and utilizing as organic manure.
• To provide modern washroom and bathroom for security and reutilizing the drain used water for agriculture and horticulture to develop farm for ecological balance, pollution control and psychological satisfaction through kitchen garden and flower garden in the campus. This will ultimately educate the inhabitance, their family and the society regarding sustainability of environment.

ONGC through its Corporate Social responsibility is desirous and authorized to donate funds under item no. (i) “Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, promoting preventive health care and sanitation and making available drinking water.”

There are 9 institutions where Toilet complex has been made with the financial assistance of ONGC through its CSR. Among those nine institutions six are 5+5 Toilet complex and three are 2+2 toilet complex.

(i) The toilet complex (5+5) are as follows:
A. Sri LaxminarayanGurukula Ashram:

The project named “Financial support for Construction of Toilet Block and water facilities at Sri LaxminarayanGurukul Ashram, Dist- Dhenkanal, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.14,17,459 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made in instalments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

B. RushikulaSevashram:
The project named “Financial support for Construction of Toilet Block and water facilities at RushikulSevashram, Dumerbahal, Dist- Sambalpur, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.14,17,459 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

C. TakhasilaBharatiyaVidhyaniketan:
The project named “Financial support for Construction of Toilet Block and water facilities at TakhasilaBharatiyaVidyaniketan, Bhuban, Dist- Dhenkanal, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.14,17,459 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

D. NabajeevanSevashram:
The project named “Financial support for Construction of Toilet Block and water facilities at NabajeevanSevashram, MadanMohanpur, Dist- Ganjam, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.14,17,459 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

E. Gurukula Sanskrit Vidyalaya:
The project named “Financial support for Construction of Toilet Block and water facilities at Gurukula Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Chakapad, Dist- Kandhamal, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.14,17,459 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

F. Shankaracharya Sanskrit Kanyashram:
The project named “Financial support for Construction of Toilet Block and water facilities at Shankaracharya Sanskrit kanyashram, Jaleshpatta, Dist- Kandhamal, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.14,17,459 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

(ii) The toilet complex (2+2) are as follows:
A. Sevadham:
The project named “Civil Construction of 2+2 Toilet Block and water facilities at Sevadham,Rengalbeda,Dist- Deogarh, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.12,17,615 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

B. Bharatmata Vedic Ashram:
The project named “Civil Construction of 2+2 Toilet Block and water facilities at Bharatmata Vedic Ashram,Jharamunda, Bhojpur,Dist- Deogarh, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.12,17,615 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

C. Vivekananda Residential School:
The project named “Civil Construction of 2+2 Toilet Block and water facilities atVivekananda Residential School, S. Uruda,Goshani block, Dist- Gajapati, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.12,17,615 only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

We utilized the funds only for achieving the objectives and meticulously maintained records of receipt and expenditure related to this project. After completion of the project we submitted ‘completion report’ with fund utilization certificate duly signed by our Chartered accountant. We also maintained activity cum progress report on usage of the assets created and furnish the same to ONGC as requested.

2. Computer Lab & Toilet complex:

This year to provide facilities for disadvantaged children to avail literacy, physical education, yoga and vocational skills in an informal way through comprehensive structure addressing to all of their basic needs & social linkage maintenance of Sambalpur district we made a proposal to NHAI. The proposal has been approved and we got financial assistance of construction of a computer laboratory and toilet complex in the premise of RushikulSevashram, Kuntara, Dist- Sambalpur, Odisha. The objectives behind the project are:

  • To educate disadvantaged children at primary, secondary and higher secondary level.
  • To provide vocation skill training and upgradation with local elevance with focus on computer, agro-horticulture, minor forest produce, garments and crafts.
  • To provide social education and public information on issues, programmes and facilities etc.
  • To provide basic health care, sanitation and health education.

The project named “Empowering the tribal students at RushikulSevashram, Dumerbahal, Dist- Sambalpur, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.38,80,000/- only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.
We utilized the funds only for achieving the objectives and meticulously maintained records of receipt and expenditure related to this project. After completion of the project we submitted ‘completion report’ with fund utilization certificate duly signed by our Chartered accountant. We also maintained activity cum progress report on usage of the assets created and furnish the same to NHAI as requested.

3. Computer laboratory and Science laboratory:

This year we submitted a proposal for Tribal girls student empowerment, creating future entrepreneur and ability modification pogramme on sustainable development Computer and science laboratory in schools for backward Socio-economic regions in Shankaracharya Sanskrit kanyashram, Jaleshpatta, Kandhamal, Odisha. Hence now everybody is acquaint with computer and gaining knowledge about computer which helps for future in educational life and working life.

The project named “Providing teaching aids and appliances at Shankaracharya Sanskrit kanyashram, Jaleshpatta, Dist- Kandhamal, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.25,36,977only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

We utilized the funds only for achieving the objectives and meticulously maintained records of receipt and expenditure related to this project. After completion of the project we submitted ‘completion report’ with fund utilization certificate duly signed by our Chartered accountant. We also maintained activity cum progress report on usage of the assets created and furnish the same to NHAI as requested.

4. Bus services:

This year we submitted a proposal for financial support towards provision of school bus for students at Shankaracharya Sanskrit kanyashram, Jaleshpatta, Kandhamal, Odisha. Hence now everybody is commuting comfortably and safely with less time conumption.

The project named “Fiancial support toeards provision of School bus for students at Shankaracharya Sanskrit kanyashram, Jaleshpatta, Dist- Kandhamal, Odisha”. We have been granted financial assistance of Rs.19,84,306only towards the project cost. Fund disbursement has been made installments through ECS based on the accomplishment of physical and social milestones as detailed in agreement.

We utilized the funds only for achieving the objectives and meticulously maintained records of receipt and expenditure related to this project. After completion of the project we submitted ‘completion report’ with fund utilization certificate duly signed by our Chartered accountant. We also maintained activity cum progress report on usage of the assets created and furnish the same to ONGC as requested.
